At Kamloops Hospice, we embrace honesty, empathy, accountability, respectfulness, and tenderness as our guiding principles, ensuring every individual we care for experiences compassion and comfort throughout their end-of-life journey.
We are a team of highly skilled individuals who are passionate about providing personal and family centered care. Our home is staffed 24/7 by Registered Nurses, Licensed Practical Nurses, and Registered Health Care Assistants. Other members of our team include two Clinical Leads, a Family and Patient Liaison and a Grief Counsellor. Our support team is responsible for housekeeping and general maintenance. Our administrative team and leadership team are available Monday to Friday.
Our volunteers play a vital role by providing supportive care services such as caregiver support, companionship, and collaborating with our staff to provide additional support to individuals and families in our community. Our volunteers also provide support in meal preparation, baking, gardening, at our home as well as assist in the operations of our Thrift store. In 2022 our Volunteers dedicated more than 13,380 hours to Kamloops Hospice Association.
The Board is comprised of community volunteers who are committed to supporting the Kamloops Hospice Association in achieving its mission of providing excellence in end-of-life care to our patients and their families. Directors are elected at the Annual General Meeting for a two-year term, up to a maximum of four consecutive terms.
Facing the journey towards end-of-life care can be overwhelming, but you don't have to navigate it alone. Our dedicated team at Kamloops Hospice is here to provide unwavering support, comfort, and guidance to both patients and their families.
